Muzaffargarh Sadar Police have instituted a case against PPP's MPA Mehr Irshad Ahmed Seyal and his 15 accomplices on the charge of grabbing the 3 acres land owned by Muhammad Ijaz son of Wahid Bakhsh at gunpoint and torturing the owner.
The case has been registered on the complaint of the victim Muhammad Ijaz Baloch who alleged that MPA Mehr Irshad Seyal along with Malik Khaliqdad, Qaiser Ghulam Hussain and 12 unidentified armed men reached at Langar Serai in a Double-cabin vehicle.
They shot fires in the air to terrify the people of the area then they overpowered him and gave him severe beating before possessing his land measuring 3 acres. DPO Muzaffargarh Munir Ahmed Zia said, "we have instituted a case No 114/2012 under sections 341, 447, 337-H-2, 337-A-1, 148 and 149 PPC on the report of plaintiff after inquiry; we have no personal grudge with the MPA or any other person."
When contacted the PPP's MPA Mehr Irshad Seyal, he said that no such incident occurred. It is a fabricated and baseless story while fact is that he had submitted a privilege motion against the DPO Muzaffargarh and I have reached Lahore to meet Governor Punjab and Inspector General of Police to apprise them of the excesses of the Muzaffargarh police. He said, "I am ready for court arrest in Lahore."
