The latest Pakistan versus India encounter at U19 World Cup semi final became a one sided affair, after the Team Green were thrashed out of the tournament by 203 runs on Tuesday.
The defeat was hard to swallow, as the team Pakistan did not look much of a competition against the arch arrivals. Pakistan former all rounder Abdul Razzaq criticized the selection, saying that the team seemed to have already given up while chasing an achievable 272 runs and were all crumbled on 69 runs.
"The Pakistan team was good but the way they played today, they just gave up against a moderate target of 273 runs, which was quite achievable,” Razzaq said, while talking to media.
Questioning the selection, Razzaq said that it needs to be seen whether the selection was appropriate or not. “Its all about the selection, how are the players trained and polished. Now, we have to see whether the selection was suitable or not,” he said.
The Indian U19 claimed a convincing 203-run win over rivals Pakistan in the ICC U-19 World Cup semi-final, on the back of performances by Shubman Gill (102*) and Ishan Porel (4/17).
