Eighth State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor's Cup Super Series InterBank Cricket Tournament will begin here from Saturday (today). SBP Director Finance, Riaz Nazar disclosed this while addressing a press conference here on Friday. He said it will be played on Twenty20 format and 11 teams will take part in the tournament, which will be divided into two groups.
There are six teams in group A (SBP Hyderabad, HBL Multan, HBL Karachi, Bank of Khyber, SBP Lahore and SBP Karachi), and five in group B (NBP Hyderabad, SBP Multan, UBL Karachi, SBP Rawalpindi and Punjab Provincial Bank). "The league matches will be played in three different grounds, whereas the final match will be played at Bagh-e-Jinnah on February 20. SBP Governor, Yaseen Anwar will be the chief guest on the occasion.
