President Asif Ali Zardari Friday hosted a reception in the honour of president of Sri Lanka, President Mahinda Rajapaksa, here at Aiwan-e-Sadr. National anthems of the two countries were played on this occasion.
The reception was attended by Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Khalid Shamim Wyne, Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandhila, Chairman Senate, Farooq H. Naek, Deputy Chairman, Senate Jan Muhammad Jamali, Governor Punjab, Latif Khosa, Prime Minister Azad Jammu Kashmir, Chaudhry Abdul Majid, chief minister Gilgit Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah, members of the federal cabinet, diplomats, government officials, members of the entourage of Sri Lankan President. Later, President Zardari hosted a dinner in the honour of his Sri Lankan counterpart and members of his entourage.
