On the directives of Punjab government, Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab Limited (TDCP) has taken up the task of promoting 157 archaeological sites of Punjab. TDCP Managing Director Saad S. Khan disclosed this while addressing a press conference here on Friday. He said after the passage of the 18th Amendment, the management of 157 archaeological sites in Punjab has been devolved to the Punjab Archaeology Department.
"Hence, the Punjab government has decided to promote these sites for tourism purposes and the TDCP has been given the task. At present, a private production house is preparing a documentary of all these sites and later in the form of a CD it will be distributed to tourists from its 33 centres," he added.
He also briefed the media about the forthcoming TDCP's festivals, which included Cholistan Jeep Rally on February 16, Kick Boxing Tournament on February 22, Lahore Marching Band Festival on February 25, Vintage Car Rally and Lahore Buggy Festival in March.
