National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa will hold daylong `Kashmir Cultural Festival' here on Sunday (February 05) to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day. Special attractions of the festival include exhibition of artisans-at-work, craft bazaar, folkloric performances, congregation of Kashmiri community/ families, stalls by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working for the cause of Kashmir, traditional Kashmiri cuisine and special attractions for children.
National Heritage Museum and Pakistan Monument Museum, adjacent to National Monument will also remain open for public throughout the day and offer 50 percent special rebate on museum entry ticket for Pakistani nationals. The event is being organised in collaboration with Ministry of National Heritage and Integration and Ministry of Kashmir Affairs.
Meanwhile, Lok Virsa will also celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi at Lok Virsa on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal (February 05) with fervour and enthusiasm. Naatia Kalam will be recited throughout the day by Naat Khawan to pay homage to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
