Futures open interest up 46 percent

Total open interest position at the futures counter during the week increased by Rs 613 million, up 46 percent on week-on-week basis due to rollover to stand at Rs 1.95 billion. The futures spreads also increased by 12.48pps on week-on-week basis to 41.67 percent.
The average daily volumes at the futures counter also surged by 79 percent on week-on-week basis to 14.6 million shares.
The top-5 scrips at the futures counter holding only 58 percent of the total open interest were FFC, POL, PSO, NBP and OGDC.
