President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mian Anis A Sheikh has urged Pakistan International Airlines to introduce Karachi-Multan and Islamabad-Multan night-coach services on regular basis to facilitate traders, exporters, industrialists and other people.
He said that the PIA had announced to launch night operation between Karachi and Multan on regular basis but it failed to implement it. Only three days a week flights were being operated. Similarly, Multan-Karachi-Madina and Multan-Karachi-Jeddah flights were being cancelled frequently due to non-availability aircraft, he said. Resultantly, overseas Pakistanis serving in Saudi Arabia were facing hardships in reaching their destinations as per their programmes. Sheikh also demanded the PIA to introduce Multan-London or Manchester flights to facilitate the exporters of the area.
