The Municipal Commissioner KMC, Matanat Ali Khan said the holding of wedding ceremonies at the swimming pool site of Kashmir Sports Complex would be prohibited from April 1. He was chairing an officers' meeting of different departments of KMC, said a statement on Sunday.
Matanat Ali Khan also directed to stop immediately the sales of pressurised meat in the city and collection of 10 percent late fees from the tenants of KMC shops if they would not pay the rent in time. He also issued directive for preparation of bylaws and closure of all illegal bachat bazaars in the city. The meeting was attended by financial advisor Aamir Khurshid, Senior Director Community Development Rehan Khan, Director Veterinary Services Mukhtar Hussain, Senior Director Finance Munawwar Imam, Director E&IP Shoaib Waqar, Director Land, Saif Abbas, Director Katchi Abadies Mazhar Khan and others.
