Sindh police on Saturday claimed to have arrested six notorious criminals including ringleader of a bike lifters' gang and recovered weapons from their possession. According to police sources, a team of Crime Range West headed by SP Khurram Waris conducted raid at Sharea Noor Jahan area and arrested six persons of them, three have been identified as Imam Bux Bugti, Imtiaz and Hafeez Bihari and recovered five stolen bikes, five TT pistols and four mobile phones from them.
They said the accused Imam was ringleader of the gang and during interrogation confessed to have involved in over 400 bike snatching bids. They said the detained persons also revealed that they used to smuggle these bikes to Balochistan and added that these bikes were snatched from North Nazimabad, Taimoria and Brigade police stations limits. Further investigation is in process.
