Journalist killed

A journalist from Mohmand Agency, Mukkaram Khan Atif, was shot dead by unknown people at Shabqadar town of Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday evening. The 45-years-old journalist was working for Dewa Radio- a Pashto language radio channel of the Voice of America, besides working as Mohmand Agency's correspondent of a private TV channel.
Mukarram was offering Maghrib prayer at a mosque adjacent to his residence at Pahlawan Qilla near Shabqadar, when two armed men opened fire on him resulting in serious injuries to him. Later, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Mukarram left two widows to mourn his death.
