Chehlum of Imam Hussan (R A): police make comprehensive security plan

Islamabad Police have chalked out a comprehensive security plan for procession on the occasion of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussan (R A). Police said strict patrolling would be ensured through effective co-ordination among the personnel of law enforcement agencies.
The Chehlum procession will be carried out from Imambargah Asna Ashri in sector G-6/2 which will culminate at the same point after passing through various routes. Under the security plan, route of the procession will be cordoned off completely through heavy deployment of police and Rangers. The route of procession has been divided into three sectors ie A, B and C and an officer of SP level will be the in-charge of security duties in his respective sector.
Each sector has been further divided into sub-sector where officer of ASP/DSP level will be responsible for close liaison among the security personnel. An officer of SP level will remain with the procession along the whole route to supervise the security officials, while ASP or DSP will assist him. An officer of Inspector level will be the in-charge to monitor police picket duties in sub-sectors. Following the directives of IGP Bani Amin Khan and SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik, all SDPOs, SHOs and other police officials will visit the routes of procession and ensure effective co-ordination among the security personnel.
