PPP activist seeks registration of an FIR

An activist of Pakistan People's Party on Saturday filed an application in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad, praying for direction to police to register an FIR against Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz. Earlier, Khalid Sati has approached the Judicial Commission investigating the Memogate.
Its secretary Jawad Abbas forwarded the application to District and Sessions Court Islamabad for perusal. Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad Wajahat Hussain sought a report from Station House Officer (SHO) Secretariat police by January 10 asking him whether or not an FIR could be registered against Mansoor Ijaz, who has been accused of defaming the sovereignty of Pakistan.
