PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has stressed the need to call all parties conference to review and resolve Balochistan issues. He was addressing political workers and media persons after meeting with National Party leadership, including NP chief Senator Dr Abdul Malik soon after his arrival in Quetta here on Friday. PML-N leaders Sanaullah Zehri, General (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch and others were present.
"No peace can be secured in Balochistan until longstanding issues of the province are resolved," Nawaz said, adding that strategy should be evolved to bring people of Balochistan back to mainstream. He underlined the need to resolve grievances and problems of the people of the province, adding that the leadership of Balochistan should be given chance to play their vital role in national politics.
He said that Gwadar should be declared a 'Free port' so that it could play significant role in economy of the region. "Gwadar has capability and potential to compete with other ports of the region and it could give great financial benefits not only to Balochistan province but to the entire county," Sharif opined. He alleged that the government was not fulfilling its agenda. He criticised military operations launched in Balochistan in the past.
