Joint Action Committee of PIA Employees (JACPIAE) has requested a meeting with Federal Minister for Defence and Chairman PIA before finalising business plan recommendations for the cabinet committee. Joint Action Committee of PIA Employees (JACPIAE) stated this in a statement issued here on Thursday.
Captain Suhail Baluch President PALPA and Convenor Joint Action Committee of PIA Employees, in a letter written to the Defence Minister said, that the employees have some very positive recommendations for the consideration of the government, which will be of great value for the viability of PIA and these recommendations will change the destiny of the national flag carrier.
He said that the committee has had some brainstorming sessions before finalising its recommendations with some of the aviation stalwarts and former PIA bosses who had played major role in turning around the airline towards profits in worst aviation circumstances.
He said that the committee has tried its best to advise the management to take corrective measures but certain groups within the management are leading the airline to verge of collapse from which there will be no recovery possible.
He said that the employees of the airline whose future is associated with the betterment of the airline wish that their bread and butter is saved, as they are scared it might become like Pakistan Railways where the organisation does not have enough cash to pay even the salaries on time. Every single employee from loader to the top besides few in the management and the nation want to once again take pride in the organisation, which once stood in top ten airlines of the world.-PR
