Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of Disabled (LABARD) has arranged a reception for 59-member team of special persons who took part in the Olympics of Special persons held in Greece and won 73 medals for the country here in Lahore Gymkhana Club.
President of LABARD and MNA Muhammad Pervez Malik, Joint Secretary Saeed Khan and people from different walks of life were present on the occasion. It is pertinent to mention here that LABARD Board members S E Pervez, Arshad Javed, Muhammad Humayun and Asma Hussain were companion of the 59-member team of special persons while the government of Greece given hearing devices to the seven team members.
While paying rich tributes to the 59-member squad of special persons, the LABARD President Muhammad Pervez Malik and Joint Secretary Muhammad Saeed Khan said that the team had done marvellous and they deserved special appreciation for keeping the country's flag high.
They said that the government should have recognised their victory in winsome manner so that more and more disabled persons could take part in healthy activities. They said that the government should ensure provision of facilities to the disables so that they could also play their due role in the progress and prosperity of the country. LABARD President Muhammad Pervez Malik said that developed countries were giving special attention to the disabled persons.
