A delegation of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) led by its President Yasin Azad called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Monday and discussed matters relating to the rule of law and welfare of the lawyers community. The Prime Minister appreciated the lawyers of the country in general and of the Supreme Court in particular for upholding the cause of the rule of law, democracy and the constitution.
The President Supreme Court Bar Association appreciated the Prime Minister about the need of the housing problems being faced by the lawyers' community of the Supreme Court in the Federal Capital. Yasin Azad pleaded for the reservation of quotas for the lawyers' community in each sector of the CDA. The Prime Minister said that he would refer the matter to the CDA for favourable consideration aimed at addressing the residential problems of the lawyers' community.-PR
