Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Co-ordination Committee has strongly condemned the latest increase in prices of petroleum products by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and demanded of the government to withdraw it immediately. In a statement on Sunday the committee termed the decision as a sorrowful, saying that citizens are facing hardships due to frequent price hikes and inflation.
MQM has demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to take notice of the situation and issue directives for the withdrawal of the hike in petroleum prices.
