The 3rd South Asian International Conference (SAICON) with the theme International Conference on Management, Business Ethics and Economics (ICMBEE) was organised by COMSTAS Institute of Information Technology, here on Wednesday. Deputy Chairman Planning Commission of Pakistan, Dr Nadeem ul Haque, who was the chief guest on the occasion said that good governance and provision of infrastructure and encouragement are the factors which can lead Pakistan to prosperity.
Dr Nadeem ul Haque further said that such international conferences would create enough opportunities to gather the global community to have a glimpse of economic growth or deterioration of multiple communities existing in the world. President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh was the guest of honour. Dr Robert McNulty from Bentley University USA and Dr David Sim from Lancaster University were the keynote speakers.
President LCCI Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that the rsearch areas and topics of the conference are of great importance particularly in our case where a lot was needed to be done. Indeed, for the sake of survival and sustainable growth, every business needed to adopt international standards for business ethics. Likewise, the industry has to take the guidance from modern principles of the economics and the incisive management theories.
Rector COMSTAS, Dr Syed Muhammad Hunaid Zaidi, Director Lahore Dr Mahmood Ahmed Bodla, Head of Management Sciences department, Dr Ahmad Kaleem and Conference Convenor Dr Abdus Sattar Abbasi also spoke on the occasion.
