The Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) said here on Sunday it would observe coming Friday as black day to condemn India, the United States and Israel for their aggressive actions and inimical policies against Pakistan.
In a joint statement KBP president Sardar Zafar Hussain and general secretary Mohammad Ramzan said that India is depriving Pakistani of irrigation canal water by constructing 65 dams on rivers on whose waters Pakistan has exclusive rights under the 1960 Indus Basin Water Treaty between the two countries.
They said KBP condemns Pakistan government for granting the most favoured nation status to India, which had been committing water aggression since Pakistan's inception in 1947 to destroy our agriculture sector and national economy.
They charged that Pakistani rulers had remained silent spectators to India's building of 65 dams on Pakistani rivers in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir during past four decades, which would ultimately turn Pakistan into desert and barren lands.
KBP leaders called upon the government not to ratify the MFN status agreement, as Pakistani farmers cannot compete with their Indian counterparts, the Indian government is providing high subsidies on the agriculture inputs, making the cost of production almost half as against Pakistani farmers' cost of production.
They further demanded of the government to restore subsidy on agriculture inputs and withdraw sales tax from agriculture inputs and implements to make prices of domestic commodities competitive with international markets prices.
Regarding the USA, KBP leaders said that the United States and the Nato forces have been attacking Iraq and Afghanistan in the past and now are frequently committing unprovoked aggression against Pakistan making life of the Muslims miserable.
They said that Pakistan government should take up India's water aggression and Nato attack at the United Nations and other international forums to expose dangerous designs of Pakistan's enemies.
They further said that Israeli has been committing naked aggression against Palestinian people during the past six decades. India, United States and Israeli are playing the role of 'Yazid', it is, therefore, incumbent upon Muslims all over the world to stand up like Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) against tyranny and Zulm", they added.
