The electricity supply to Multan Railway Station, Divisional Railway Hospital and Railways Employees Colony Sialkot remained suspended for the seventh consecutive days that badly disturbed official work, as the concerned PR officials failed to make any alternative arrangements for power supply.
Power generators were supplying electricity to some offices like reservation office, divisional superintendent's offices. The inhabitants of PR employees' residential colony Multan were also suffering from great difficulties due to non-availability of the electricity for the last fourth consecutive days.
The Mepco Multan officials had disconnected the electricity connections of Multan Cantt as well as city railway stations and railways employees' residential colony on Wednesday due to the non-payment of the outstanding arrears of electricity bills by PR despite issuing several notices to concerned PR officials.
