Arrangements finalised for PP-275 by-election

Polling for bye-election at PP-275 (Yazman) constituency would be held on Saturday (today), and in this regard, all the arrangements have been finalised. Election Commission sources told APP on Friday that a total of 115 polling stations had been formed for the election, of which, 49 were declared sensitive with 35 placed in A category while remaining 14 in B category.
360 polling booths had been set up for the election, the sources said, adding the total number of registered voters in the constituency was 158,455 including 87,023 male and 71,432 female. Eleven candidates are participating in the election including Khalid Jajja (Lion), Ehsaan-ul-Haq Chaudhry (Cycle), Tariq Bashir Cheema (Oxcart), Mashood Nasir (Antler), Kashif Qureshi (Fan), Professor Lajpal Sayal (Television), Hafiz Muhammad Ishaq Akhtar (Wrench), Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed (Football), Zubair Nadeem (Scooter), Khalid Mahmood Farooqi (Hand Pump) and Chaudhry Imran Shams (Gun). It is pertinent to mention here that the seat had fallen vacant after the death of PML-N MPA Chaudhry Mumtaz Jajja.
