Fog disrupts traffic on Motorway

Lahore Motorway was closed for traffic on Friday from Thokar Niaz Baig to Pindi Bhattian due to dense fog. Motorway sources told a private news channel that Motorway was closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Pindi Bhattian interchange because the visibility was down to zero.
The sources told that Lahore-bound traffic from Islamabad was brought to Pindi Bhattian in the form of convoy to avoid any mishap. The motorway authorities have issued special instructions for the drivers. They have asked them to keep their vehicles' headlights on, avoid change of lane and keep control over speed besides using reflectors. The train schedule has also been affected due to dense fog. According to Met department fog would persist for ten days.
