At least two persons including a former activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-H) were gunned down in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. According to details, the former activist of MQM-H Aish Mohammad, 52, son of Khoshi Mohammad was targeted by unknown armed riders when he was standing outside his home located in sector 11-C, Street No 3 Orangi Town.
The victim received single bullet on his head and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. SHO Asif Rauf said the victim, who used to run an estate agency in the same area where he resided, had serious land dispute with someone and added that his friend namely Mustafa was also killed in similar fashion at Orangi Town in last August.
He said the victim was the former activist of MQM-H and suspected to have been murdered over land dispute. No case was registered till filing of this report. A watchman of under construction bungalow was shot dead in Gulshan Kaneez Fatima Society in the limits of Sacchal police station.
The incident took place on early Thursday, where unidentified armed men reached at the bungalow situated in Gulshan Kaneez Fatima Society, Gulshan Iqbal, and opened indiscriminate gunshots on Peral, 52 son of Allah Dino. Resultantly, he received fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot.
Police said the victim, who was the resident of Nusrat Bhutto Colony North Nazimabad and hailed from Larkana, had some dispute in his hometown with Mumtaz and Fateh Mohammad. They suspected that he might have been murdered over same ground. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. A case was registered against Mumtaz, Fateh Mohammad and others on the complaint of victim's son and initiated probe in this regard.
