Another incident of Cannibalism has surfaced in the country, as a woman, who is alleged to have slaughtered her husband, was caught red-handed while cooking her husband's flesh. According to police and rescuers, the incident took place at Green Town within the limits of Shah Faisal police station, where a woman namely Zainab, 41 and her nephew namely Zaheer were arrested over the charge of slaughtering Ahmad, 31 son of Rustum.
They said that Zainab's neighbour (A), who after sensing stink and witnessing several blood spots in her house, became suspicious and informed the matter to police. Following the information, the police raided the place and arrested Zainab and her nephew Zaheer.
Police claimed to have recovered pieces of Ahmad's body, which were stuffed in a box besides two bowls in which the accused Zainab was trying to cook his flesh. Police said that Zainab and her nephew allegedly slaughtered Ahmad and stuffed his body in a box.
They said that a daughter of Zainab from her first husband had gone missing some two days ago and she and the victim Ahmad had visited the police station to register a report. "The police are still clueless to ascertain the motive behind the killing as the accused Zainab, who had nominated her nephew Zaheer in her daughter's missing report, has allegedly killed her husband with the assistance Zaheer," SHO Khalid Latif Baig said.
Baig said the accused during initial course of investigation, revealed that the victim Ahmad, who was her second husband and 10 years younger than her, had sexual tendency towards her daughter Sonum, 18. Therefore, she took the extreme step to save the life of her daughter, who is still missing. Baig said the accused in her statement further stated that she was cooking her husband's flesh just to dispose off his body. No case was registered till filing of this report.
