The troika meeting, which will also be joined by Pakistan's Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani, is likely to be held on Tuesday (today) to discuss the memo issue. According to sources, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani would hold meeting at Presidency to discuss the issue.
DG ISI General Ahmad Shuja Pasha and Ambassador Hussain Haqqani would also participate in the meeting. The sources said that Haqqani might face tough questions from military leadership on the memo issue. They said that after arrival from US on Sunday, Hussain Haqqani had gone straight to the President House to have an informal meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari to chalk out the contours of the today's (Tuesday) meeting with the military leadership.
They said that Hussain Haqani had submitted his resignation to the President on Monday. When contacted, Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar told Business Recorder that that there would no meeting on Monday, however, the meeting may or may not be held on Tuesday to remove the reservations of the military leadership.
