Some essential commodities' prices fluctuate both ways modestly

Some essential commodities including wheat, Irri-6 Sindh fluctuated lightly during the week ended on November 19.
On Monday wheat old and new with bardan rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2670 and Rs 2680, masoor Canada lost Rs 1000 to Rs 5000, while urad Burma was quoted at Rs 3000, Irri-6 Sindh low type was unchanged at Rs 3050, while the best type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3125. Cottonseed oilcakes Sindh low type stayed put at Rs 950, while the best type was recorded at Rs 1050.
On Tuesday grain markets were closed on account of Hazrat Usman Ghani's death anniversary.
On Wednesday rapeseed oilcakes low type rose by Rs 75 to Rs 2575, while the other quality was unchanged at Rs 2600, rapeseed from Mirpurlane gained a fresh Rs 100 to Rs 2550 and Rs 2575, cakes low type rose by Rs 10 to Rs 890, while the other type was held unchanged at Rs 900, castorseed Lasbela lost Rs 100 to Rs 2300 and Rs 2350, castorseed Sindh lost same amount to Rs 2200, castorseed oilcake with bag low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1000, while the other type stayed put at Rs 1050. Wheat old bardan and new rose sharply by Rs 30 to Rs 2700 and Rs 2715.
On Jodia Bazaar kirana items (40-kg) white pepper rose by Rs 2000 to Rs 40,000 black pepper Singapore shed Rs 1500 to Rs 25,500, black pepper Ceylon ended lower by Rs 2000 to Rs 25,000, black pepper Brazil shed Rs 2000 to Rs 27,000 big cardamom rose by Rs 8000, to Rs 83000, copra from India conceded Rs 100 to Rs 6100, dry ginger from China shed Rs 1000 to Rs 14500, long pepper rose by Rs 2000 to Rs 43000, Star aniseed shed Rs 500 to Rs 17500 and cuminseed lost Rs 1500 to Rs 12,000.
On Thursday makai low type shed Rs 125 to Rs 2250, while the other type lost Rs 63 to Rs 2250, juwar rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2200 and Rs 2300, wheat old and new bardana shed Rs 20 to Rs 2680 and Rs 2695, guwar Sindh and Mardan gained Rs 100 to Rs 6500 and Rs 6600, Irri-6 Sindh rose by Rs 75 to Rs 3125 and Rs 3200, Irri white broken low type up by Rs 50 to Rs 2450.
On Friday there was no change in the rates, as almost all the participants were busy in preparations for Juma prayers.
On Jodia Bazaar chemical items closed down. The changes were: CHEMICAL ITEMS (Per kg): Caustic soda flakes Saudi was quoted at Rs 75, sodium sulphate was quoted at Rs 16, formic acid Pak ended lower by Rs 2 to Rs 99, formic acid Germany moved downward by Rs 3 to Rs 113, oxalic acid China was quoted at Rs 120 and sulphonic acid soft ended lower by Rs 2 to Rs 152.
On Saturday prices moved both ways. Makai low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 2125, while the best type did not move any side at Rs 2250, wheat old and new bardan rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2690-2705, other items held the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply. Til low type lost sharply by Rs 150 to Rs 3250 and good type also shed Rs 50 to Rs 3550, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 900 and best quality, however, gained Rs 25 to Rs 1075. Prices on the rice and grams sectors were unmoved.
On Jodia Bazaar milk powder skimmed ended up here on Saturday. The changes were: MILK POWDER SKIMMED (Per bag of 25-kg): Irish skimmed was quoted at Rs 8,500, Haleeb was quoted at Rs 6,500, Olden Burger edged up by Rs 900 to Rs 10,900, and Amul (India) was quoted at Rs 9,900. VEGETABLE: Balie Gold moved upward by Rs 750 to Rs 9,950 and Bale Vale went higher by Rs 100 to Rs 9,500. SWEETENED (Per carton): Comelle ended up by Rs 750 to Rs 5,850. UNSWEETENED: King of Kings closed higher by Rs 400 to Rs 4,600.
