S.M.Muneer, Patron-in-Chief, Ehteshamuddin Chairman, Hasham A. Razzak and Tariq Malik, Vice-Chairmen KATI complimented Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Dr Monmohan Singh Prime Minister of India on their pledge to ease the tension between two countries and stating a "new chapter" of friendship as this would help the people of both the countries.
They said the meeting of both the Prime Ministers at the end of 17th Saarc summit was a very welcome step and help in bringing the peoples come closer. S.M.Muneer said that both the countries should draw a line between politics and trade and should not mix them as liberal trade would be beneficial for both the countries. There are some six crore people living below poverty line in Pakistan alone and we should think for them and find ways and means to eradicate poverty. Ehteshamuddin welcomed the easing of Indo-Pak tensions and said increasing trade and economic co-operation could also form a solid basis for political ties.-PR
