IGP orders posting of SHOs as per merit

Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has directed Additional IGP Karachi for ensuring merit and fulfilling other formalities while posting the Station House Officers (SHOs). These instructions he issued while taking notice of a news item pertaining to non-posting of SHOs at some police stations.
Postings of officials are important and in this regard every possible care should be taken to position experienced and dutiful officers at the stations, he ordered. He instructed to set up monitoring system in order to appoint officials bearing good performance record to serve public and to bring officials to accountability who found negligent to their duties.
