Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has become the representative party of the countrymen and the tribesmen, former JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad expressed these views while addressing a mammoth public gathering at Peero Khel Shinwari at Landikotal here on Wednesday.
The Shinwari Peero Khel tribe's elders had invited JI leadership to Landikotal where they announced their affiliation to Jamaat-e-Islami. Qazi Hussain Ahmad urged the tribal people to stand against the corrupt system, every social injustice and cruelty and throw away the yoke of every type of dictatorship as the masses in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya have recently done.
The tribal region has become the abode of problems and hardships for the local dwellers but the rulers and the elected representatives are not interested to struggle to resolve them, former JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad regretted. The US drone strikes in FATA, military operation, disorder and the destroyed infrastructure in FATA are the main issues, which need to be resolved with the unity and strength of the tribal people, Qazi Hussain Ahmad observed.
He asked the people to differentiate between the vice and virtue in society and support the honest and devoted leadership so that their long-standing problems could be resolved. The FATA parliamentarians have always supported the sitting governments for their personal benefits rather than to serve their tribal people, Qazi highlighted.
Ex-MNA Sahibzada Haroon Ur Rasheed in his speech condemned the ongoing military operation in FATA. He said that the US led Nato forces in Afghanistan would be defeated shortly. Haroon Rasheed regretted that the rulers in Pakistan have always ignored to give the tribesmen their basic rights, which is a great violation. Haroon Rasheed vowed to hold all the cruels accountable if JI was voted to power.
JI FATA naib Ameer Zarnoor Afridi came hard on the sitting MNA Noorul Haq Qadri for his alienation to resolve peoples' problems. He asked the people to stand against the corrupt and incapable tribal parliamentarians who exploited their funds and resources. MNA Qadri has usurped Shelman Water Supply Scheme funds, which postponed that huge mega project, Afridi disclosed.
He also asked the government to push out the corrupt clerical staff from the offices in Khyber Agency who have created problems for the people. He also criticised the negative role of the MS Landikotal hospital. JI Khyber Ameer Shah Faisal Afridi demanded halt to military operation in Bara. He said that the entire FATA was conflicted. The mortars shelling have disturbed people in Bara, Shah Faisal Afridi said. Prominent elders of Peero Khel Shinwari tribe along with their families joined Jamaat-e-Islami on this occasion in the presence of Qazi Hussain Ahmad.
