At least two persons were fallen prey to targeted killing spree in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Saturday. According to details, a young man was shot dead at Sacchal Goth in the limits of Sacchal police station. The incident took place at Sacchal Goth where unidentified armed men riding on a motorcycle and opened fire on 23-year-old man.
He received multiple bullets on his head and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico legal formalities. SHO Azhar Ali Iqbal said the victim was later identified as Mohammad Aslam son of Akhter, a resident of Tariq road. He suspected that he might have been murdered due to girl affair. No case was registered till filing of this report. In another case, a man was stabbed to death at his house located in Farooq Colony Orangi Town in the limits of Orangi Town police station. The victim 45-year-old Idrees Bengali son of Mehboob Alam, a resident of sector 5 Farooq Colony Orangi Town, was assaulted by unidentified man with dagger when he was sleeping in his house.
Resultantly, he received severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. SHO Asif Rauf said the victim was the father of four and was employed in private factory at Site area. He said the deceased had serious conflicts with his brother-in-law Javed and his elder son. Police registered a case against Javed on the complaint of state and initiated probe in this connection.
