A civil court on Friday allowed two famous theatre stars Nargis and Khushboo to perform in a stage drama "Tera Jalwa" after suspending an order of Lahore District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) which had banned both stars allegedly for doing obscene dances.
The drama producer Malik Haris challenged the ban imposed by the DCO and pleaded that he exhibited the stage drama after obtaining no objection certificate from censor board. But the DCO with malafide intention put ban on the leading stars of drama causing a great loss to him.
Advocate Farhad Ali Shah, also Lahore bar association secretary, on behalf of the petitioner also claimed that once the censor board granted NOC the DCO had no jurisdiction to take such action. He prayed that the order of the DCO be set aside being illegal and without lawful authority.
