MOL Pakistan, member of oil and gas giant MOL Group, handed over the consignment of relief items worth US $50,000 to help people of flood-affected districts of Tando Muhammad Khan and Sanghar here on Friday.
MOL Pakistan has donated tents, blankets, medicines and water purification tablets worth US $25,000 each for people of Tando Muhammad Khan and Sanghar, where the two districts are badly affected due to torrential rains and flood that played havoc with the people of Sindh.
The supplies were handed over to the DCO's of district administration of Tando Muhammad Khan and Sanghar. Officials of MOL Pakistan were also present on the occasion. Gulfraz Raja, Head of Management Support and Colonel Niaz Safdar (Retd), Head Community Development represented Managing Director MOL Pakistan and all employees of the company.
The scale of the flood disaster has overwhelmed the government and the Prime Minister of Pakistan had urged the non-government sector to come forward to help the people of flood-hit areas as early as possible to strengthen the relief activities. This is not the first time when MOL Pakistan gives helping hand in times of need. Since many years it gave donation annually to flood-victims, just like after the tragic earthquake in 2005 when the company gave support in the amount of US $500,000.-PR
