At least three persons were gunned down in separate incidents in various parts of the metropolis, here on Thursday. According to police, a tailor was shot dead at Landi Kotal Chowrangi North Nazimabad in the limits Hyderi police station. The incident took place at Landi Kotal Chowrangi near Usman Mosque where 32-year-old Azadar Hussain son of Azhar Hussain was targeted when he was returning home from his work.
He received three bullets and died on the spot. SHO Shoaib Ibrahim said the victim, who was a tailor by his profession, might have been murdered when he offered resistance during robbery bid. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. The victim, who was the resident of Cosmos Place block 16 F. B. Area, was unmarried. Later his funeral was offered at Ancholi and he was buried in Wadi Hussain graveyard. A case 529/11 was registered against unidentified men.
Two more persons were shot dead at Jam Goth, Malir in the limits of Memon Goth police station. The victims Fida Hussain, 40 son of Rasool Bux and his friend Habib Baloch, 32 were targeted by Fida's brother-in-law Shaukat at his home. Fida received three bullets and died on the spot, while Habib received single bullet on his chest and succumbed to his injures during treatment at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The culprit managed to flee from the scene.
SHO Rao Khalid said the Fida Hussain was targeted by his brother-in-law, due to family matters. He said the victim Fida, who was affiliated with defunct Peoples Amn Committee, was nominated in over 30 serious offences and added that he was the father of three while Habib used to run a mechanic shop in Malir Jam Goth. Police registered a case against Shaukat on the complaint of Fida's wife and initiated probe.
