The ongoing anti-littering drive in the Federal Capital has brought positive results; however, sanitation directorate would be equipped with necessary machinery to meet the target as per cleanliness standards. This was stated by Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Inayat Elahi while chairing a meeting held here on Thursday, adding that all-out efforts would be made to keep the city clean and green.
Director Sanitation Captain Muhammad Faiz (Retired) informed that the city has been divided into several phases, adding that workers of the Sanitation Directorate clean the residential areas, markets and trade centres and lift the junk and garbage on daily basis. He said that Field Supervisory staff has started imposing fine on the spot for throwing garbage in the open areas, adding that the Field Supervisory also submit their reports during the regular weekly meeting.
