National Council Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) Masud Muzaffar has been appointed as member of International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) for the term 2012 - 2013. Masud Muzaffar joined Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service in 1974 after qualifying Central Superior Services (CSS) Examinations.
During his 35 years service with the Government of Pakistan he served on various senior positions such as Controller General of Accounts of Pakistan; Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan Member Finance KRL; Director General, Department of Auditor General of Pakistan; Member Finance CDA; Joint Secretary, Ministry of Railways; Chief Accounts Officer, Pakistan Postal Services Corporation; Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence Production; and Deputy Secretary, Establishment Division.
He also served as a Council Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP); Quality Assurance Board of ICAP and served as Chairman Islamabad Branch Council of ICMAP. He represented Pakistan on number of times at various professional forums at international level.-PR
