The profit after tax of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has increased to Rs 9.886 billion in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 7.789 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Tuesday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 7.52 in the period under review against Rs 5.93 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 22.647 billion in this quarter against Rs 18.218 billion in the same quarter last year. The company's filed expenditure increased to Rs 5.692 billion against Rs 4.405 billion while royalties increased to Rs 2.693 billion against Rs 2.162 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 14.718 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 11.683 billion in the same quarter last year.
