Five more persons were killed in the incidents of targeted killings in various areas of the city on Tuesday. According to police, two bullet-riddled bodies were found in an empty plot located in Hassan Barohi Goth in the limits of Surjani police station.
Police recovered the bodies from an empty plot situated at Hassan Barohi Goth sector 7 of Surjani Town. The identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained. Police suspected that personal enmity was behind in the dual murder. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
Another bullet-riddled and tortured body of a youth was found in a garbage drum located in Ibn-e-Seena Lane in the limits of Brigade police station. The victim was later identified as Wazir Khan, 25 son of Ameer Jan. Police said the victim, who used to work in a bakery at Lines Area, had been missing since Monday afternoon.
They said the victim, who received single bullet on his head, had several torture marks. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. Police registered a case 293/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of the victim's brother.
In another incident, the owner of a PCO was gunned down at Wahid Colony in the jurisdiction of North Nazimabad police station. The incident took place on early Tuesday when unidentified armed rider opened indiscriminate gunshots at PCO situated in Wahid Colony Nazimabad, leaving 34-year-old Shahzad Khan in a pool of blood. The victim died on the spot.
His body was shifted to ASH for medico legal formalities. Police said one of the victim's brothers was an activist of the banned outfit Sipah Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) while another one was an active worker of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). They said the victim, who had no affiliation with any party, might have been murdered by the rivals of his brother. No case was registered till filing of this report.
One more bullet-riddled body of a young man, who was identified as Ahad, 25, son of Asadullah, was found from Paposh graveyard in the limits of Paposh police check post. Police said the victim, who was the resident of Nazimabad sector 3-E commercial area, was a drug addict and used to take drugs with his friend in Paposh graveyard. They said the victim, who received single bullet on his head, was found with several bottles of wine. His body was shifted to ASH for post mortem and handed later over to the heirs.
