The Pakistani nation is deeply shocked over the terrible news of a strong earthquake that hit the eastern region of Van, Turkey, said a Pakistan Embassy statement issued here on Sunday. The statement said, "The Pakistani nation stands with our Turkish brethren at this time of great trial."
Pakistan mourns the loss of precious lives and expresses deep sympathy and condolences to all those who lost their loved ones, it added.
The government and the people of Pakistan stand in full solidarity with their Turkish brothers and sisters and are ready to send any assistance to help overcome the effects of this enormous natural calamity, the statement said.
