UHS to introduce 5-year DPT programme

The Syndicate of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) has approved the 5-year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree programme to be introduced in affiliated institutes. The approval was accorded in the 28th meeting of UHS syndicate held here on Tuesday with Vice Chancellor Professor Malik Hussain Mubbashar in the chair.
The participants of the meeting were of the opinion that 4-year BSc (Hons.) physiotherapy course being offered in 8 affiliated institutes must be upgraded into a 5-year DPT programme in line with the guidelines issued by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
