Five women killed in landslide

Five women were killed and three injured in a landslide incident in Kahrore Pakka area in Lodhran district on Monday. Rescue sources said that eight women labourers in Khanka Koh area of Kahrore Pakka were digging mud for construction of walls when they were buried under a heap of soil after a large mass of mud fell on them.
Soon, local people rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the deceased and rescued the injured women after several hours' hectic efforts. Official rescue teams also reached the venue and shifted the injured women to hospital.
