FAISALABAD: A sum of Rs 45 billion will be spent on completion of 567 uplift schemes of public welfare in the district under Annual Development Programme.
The Punjab government has initially released funds of Rs. 5 billion for the schemes including provision of missing facilities in schools, repair and maintenance of buildings, water supply and rural drainage, construction of streets and roads etc.
This was told by Deputy Director Development Saeed Ahmed in a briefing held here on Tuesday with Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mian Aftab Ahmed and other officers were also present.
