The Chief Justice made these remarks during the hearing a suo moto notice related to the cutting of trees and crushing stones on Margalla Hills, Islamabad.
During course of proceedings, State Minister for Capital Administration Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry appeared before the Court after being summoned, over the failure of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to develop rules and regulations regarding deforestation.
The CJP, inquired the minister how much time the CDA would require setting the house in order. To this, Chaudhry requested the court to grant him three months.
