With reporting of six new cases in Karachi, the number of confirmed dengue patients in the province jumped to 220 in the ongoing year, raising fear among people of the epidemic. In-charge of Sindh Health Department's Dengue Surveillance Cell Dr M Shakeel Mullick informed PPI that currently 33 dengue-inflicted were admitted in different hospitals of the province.
He said so far one dengue patient had died in the province, who had died in February 2011 in Ghotki.
