The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Wednesday declaring interference by ministry of religious affairs in internal affairs of private Hajj tour operators companies unlawful set aside a ministry order with regard to receiving 'fake' application forms from pilgrims.
The court passed these orders in a petition of one of the directors of a private tour operator, Muhammad Qaseem, through his counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique. The petitioner submitted that all issues relating to internal affairs, disputes among directors and other such issue were to be dealt with under Company Ordinance 1984. He said under the law all such disputes should be resolved by courts of law and no person had the authority to deal with them. He, therefore, prayed to the court to cancel the impugned order and bar ministry permanently from interfering in the affairs of private companies.
