In response to the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to provide health facilities to the flood affected people of Sindh, mobile health unit has been handed over to the Punjab Health Department.
According to an official here on Wednesday, Additional Director Administration of Health Department Dr Atiq-ur-Rehman Khan, Dr Mehmood Ahmad and Dr Muhammad Zulfiqar received the mobile health unit, which will be now handed over to the Sindh government.
Member Provincial Assembly Sh Allaud Din said that he had got prepared mobile health unit for his own constituency but now on the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister, this mobile health unit has been donated to the flood affected people of Sindh. "The mobile health unit costing Rs 5.5 million is equipped with modern treatment facilities and is a gift for the people of Sindh from their Punjabi brethren," he added. Dr Atiq-ur-Rehman said on the occasion that such mobile health units can play an important role in providing health facilities to the people in any emergency.
