Petition filed

A petition seeking implementation of constitutional provisions against fake encounter and police torture on the accused in custody has been filed before the Lahore High Court by a citizen Abdul Wahid. The petitioner through his counsel A.K.Dogar contended article 10 (1) of the Constitution is being grossly violated and misused by the police in respect of the person in custody who is compelled by the police under duress and torture to accept what he has not committed.
The petitioner contended that complaints of fake encounters, killings in custody and brutal torture against the police are rampant.
