Imran sees change in country

Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that only a change can save Pakistan, without a revolutionary change there is no future. He was addressing an Eid Milan gathering that was organised by the PTI workers of Islampura here on Tuesday. He said that the change is taking place in the country and a new era of betterment is around the corner.
"The PTI will bring that change in the country by eliminating corruption and ending the rule of bandits," he added. "The PTI will also increase the national resources by taxing the rich. We will never come out of the US slavery if we do not stand on our own feet. For financial independence it is imperative to bring rich tax defaulters into the tax net, otherwise Pakistan will remain dependent on others. We will not beg, the PTI will make Pakistan a self-sustainable and independent country," he added.
Imran observed that there is inequity in tax collection; the common man is forced to pay taxes while the rich get away scot-free, but the PTI will end this injustice by taxing the rich people of the country. He pointed out that 'Mughal-e-Azam of this constituency' (referring to PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif) only paid Rs 5000 as taxes, while President Asif Ali Zardari, 'the country's biggest 'bemari (disease)', never payed taxes. "We will collect taxes from these people as well," he added.
He laid stress on accountability across-the-board and added that it will start from his own party. He vowed to make Pakistan a respectable country among the international comity and added that it will be an economic power where foreigners will come for jobs. Imran also vowed to make education and justice available for women and his party will struggle for women's inheritance right. He pinned his hopes on the youth for the change in the country and in this connection he urged them to launch a campaign.
