Chief Justice Lahore High Court Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Monday dismissed a petition against a PML-N MPA for illegally transferring a local clerk after he apologised to the court. The chief justice was hearing a case moved by Faiz ullah Bhatti of Hafizabad challenging his transfer made by MPA Asadullah Bhatti. The petitioner contended that he was working as a junior clerk in the office of DO Building office in Hafizabad and MPA recommended for his transfer.
On court's call EDO along with MPA appeared before the court and pointed out that petitioner's transfer order has been withdrawn. However, the court admonished MPA and asked him not to do it again in the future. MPA Chaudhry Asadullah tendered an unconditional apology in the matter. The court after hearing the arguments dismissed the petition as being withdrawn.
