Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor Barrister Masood Kausar said that Fata youths would be provided ample opportunities to show their worth in sports not only on national but at international level as well, adding "there is no dearth of talent in Fata, what needed is to provide the youths with the required opportunities and facilities".
Talking to Federal Minister for Sports and Safron Engr Shaukatullah Khan, during a meeting here on Sunday, he felicitated the Federal Minister for being elected as President of Fata Olympic Association (FOA) and said that formation and annexation of FOA with Pakistan Olympic Association was a commendable development that would help further our efforts for promotion of sports in Fata. He stressed the need for sports infrastructure development as well as enhancement in the required facilities for players in Fata, saying that training camps should be held besides appointments of renowned and experienced coaches to train the players professionally.
He directed that merit should be upheld in all such appointments and selections.
Engr Shaukatullah appreciated the efforts made by the Governor for promotion of sports in Fata in a very short span of time particularly towards the annexation of Fata Olympic Association with Pakistan Olympic Association and thanked the Governor for his keen interest in this regard.
